Gilbert Wong, the mayor of Cupertino, California, calls his city council to order. "As you know, Cupertino is very famous for Apple Computer, and we're very honored to have Mr. Steve Jobs come here tonight to give a special presentation," the mayor says. "Mr. Jobs?" And there he is, in his black turtleneck and jeans, shuffling to the podium to the kind of uproarious applause absent from most city council meetings.

Health Informatics: Atlanta Gets $1.65 Million Training Grant

Atlanta has won a $1.65 million federal grant to train the chronically unemployed and veterans to become health information technology workers.

The program is intended to spur job growth and public-private partnerships across the country.

Atlanta was one of 20 regions to win the funding, which averaged $1.8 million per project. There were 125 applicants.

The position will require an individual who has worked in a Drupal environment for at least one year. The skill set will require the knowledge of how Drupal is configured and administered. The individual will need to know PHP and have understanding of how Drupal modules are developed. The individual should understand Drupal theming. The individual will need a solid understanding of Javascript and CSS.

I'm interested in speaking with either a local Atlanta agency or Drupal freelancers regarding a major Drupal 7 project. The site in question is a large site being migrated from legacy ColdFusion. There are a lot of moving parts involved, so this will likely require some (or a lot) of custom module development including database work.
